06 Jul 35 Police Officers from Quezon City Police District Assigned to Regions in Mindanao
After 2 former Quezon City Police district (QCPD) directors namely Joel Pagdilao and Eduardo Tinio were identified by President Rodrigo Duterte linked to illegal drugs, thirty-five (35) members of the QCPD were relieved from their respective duties and were re-assigned to regions in Mindanao.
Five of the re-assigned police officers were from the Anti-Illegal Drugs Division of the QCPD, while others from the Special Operations Unit and other divisions of the QC PNP. With Superintendent Jay Agcaoili, the chief of the QCPD Special Operations Unit, as the highest ranking officer who was included for re-assignment.
The relief order of the said police officers was received by newly appointed QCPD director Senior Superintendent Guillermo Eleazar from the PNP national headquarters in Camp Crame.
Along with police generals Pagdilao and Tinio were Marcelo Garbo Jr., Vicente Loot and Bernardo diaz who were named by President Duterte involved in illegal drugs.
