Almost 81,000 drug surrenderees, 44 dead in NorthMin out of 1,313 police operation since Duterte’s war on drugs

Out of the 1,313 police operations on drug-related cases in Northern Mindanao, only 44 drug suspects were killed since the start of President Rodrigo Duterte’s war on drugs, according to a report by Sun Star.

The police report shows that from July 1 to December 16, police conducted some 1,313 operations which resulted in the death of 44 drug suspects after fighting law enforcers during legitimate operations.

Nearly 2,000 drug-related cases were filed in different courts and over a million houses were visited a part of the Philippine National Police’s Tokhang Operations.

On the other hand, almost 81,000 drug dependents surrendered themselves to the police but the PNP admitted that some have gone back to their old habits.
