06 Apr NBI Arrests 5 Online Sellers In Cagayan de Oro For Overpricing Medical Supplies
Mga higala! NBI together with the Regulatory Compliance Board (RCB), has arrested 5 online sellers last week, for overpricing face masks, surgical gloves, and disinfectants, here in Cagayan de Oro!
The suspects were caught in separate entrapment operations in the city.
According to ABS-CBN News, 2 of the suspects are females who were caught along Yacapin Street for selling N95 masks at P235 each (SRP: P45-P105) and disposable masks for P40 (SRP: P28).
2 male suspects were then apprehended in Barangay Lapasan for selling overpriced surgical gloves at P580 per box, which has a market price of only P295.
Lastly, another male suspect was caught in Barangay Bulua for overpricing disinfectants at P1,500 per gallon (SRP: P950).
