6000 Students Eran from CDOs Special Employment Program Amidst COVID-19 Pandemic

Mga higala! Under the Special Program for the Employment of Students (SPES), an initiative of the city government through Public Employment Services Office (PESO), around 6,000 students aged 20 and below were provided with home-based earning activities at the comfort of their homes!

The said activities cover the Urban Container Household Gardening and Waste Segregation, to broaden a student’s knowledge in propagating vegetable crops and make use of them for their everyday needs or sell them in communities.

Through the use of recyclable materials such as tin cans and biodegradable wastes as fertilizers, the youth can readily plant greens in their own gardens.

Within 20 days of working, the student beneficiaries will be able to receive a P5,000 salary and make use of it to continually participate in the program.
