20 May 62-Year-Old Female From Macanhan, Brgy. Carmen, Tests Positive For COVID-19
Mga higala! A 62-year-old female from Macanhan, Brgy. Carmen, who was admitted at the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) last May 15, 2020, has tested positive for COVID-19, and is now the 9th confirmed case in Cagayan de Oro!
The said patient was swabbed at around 9:00 pm on the same day but died at 10:30 pm due to acute decompensated heart failure (ADHF), secondary to coronary artery disease, cardiomegaly, and sinus tachycardia.
She was also diagnosed with community-acquired pneumonia.
The patient was then properly cremated based on DOH guidelines and a contact-tracing was started by the city’s health personnel.
Moreover, her husband and child are currently under quarantine.
