18 Aug 7 Soldiers Wounded Due To Planted Explosives In Marawi City
7 soldiers were injured after an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) exploded at an area where the members of the Maute terrorist group are believed to be hiding.
In an article from Bombo Radyo Cagayan de Oro, the soldiers were conducting a clearing operation at the said area in Marawi City when an IED exploded which was believed to be planted by the terrorist group.
2 out of the 7 wounded soldiers have earned serious leg injuries and are now seeing possibilities of being cut off.
Joint Task Force Marawi Spokesperson Capt. Joan Petinglay said that the planted explosives scattered around Maute-held areas are the reasons why the operations of the team have been risky.
