12 Apr DepEd To Hire 75,242 Teaching Positions for SY 2018-2019
Mga higala! The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) has now approved the creation of 75,242 new regular teaching positions for kindergarten to senior high with an entry level salary of P22,000. And the DepEd has been allocated with a budget of P553.31 billion this year, higher than the P543.186 billion last year.
Budget Secretary Benjamin Diokno stated that the Department of Education (DepEd) should start recruiting teachers immediately in order to get ready for the resumption of classes in June.
He also added that there are at least 40,642 new regular teaching positions for kindergarten and elementary, 34,244 for Grade 11, and 356 for Grade 12. See breakdown below:
