29 Jul 8 New COVID-19 Delta Variant Cases Detected In CDO
UPDATE 2: 7 of the new Delta cases are from a family in Brgy. Balulang and 1 is from Upper Canitoan.
Mga higala! Mayor Oscar Moreno disclosed in today’s press briefing (July 29) that 8 new COVID-19 Delta variant cases were recently detected in Cagayan de Oro City!
Mayor Moreno revealed the said information while talking about the city’s extended Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) status that will last until August 7, 2021.
However, he assured that they are now addressing the said cases in collaboration with the Department of Health (DOH). He then added that they have implemented the similar approach used on the 1st batch of Delta cases in the city:
- isolation (TTMF)
- intensive contact tracing (1st, 2nd, and 3rd degree)
- and more
Furthermore, even though the said cases have already been reported recovered (July 15 and 18), the city is still conducting close monitoring and other measures.
