13 Jul 80-Year-Old Male Tests Positive For COVID-19 In Naawan: No History Of Travel
Mga higala! An 80-year-old male with no history of travel abroad, has tested positive for COVID-19 in Purok 7, Brgy. Linangkayan, Naawan, Misamis Oriental!
This is Naawan’s first confirmed coronavirus case.
The said individual was tested via RT-PCR last July 10, 2020, and his results came back positive on July 11.
He is currently asymptomatic but has been referred to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) in Cagayan de Oro City yesterday, July 12, for proper treatment.
As a precaution, the entirety of Purok 7, Brgy. Linangkayan has been placed under localized containment and a contact tracing is now ongoing.
Moreover, the local government and the IATF is now doing what they can to prevent the spread of COVID-19. All residents are urged to fully cooperate.
