After receiving negative feedback from the public, transport officials decided to hold the enforcement of the Anti-Distracted Driving Act starting today May 24, 2017.

In an article from ABS-CBN News, the policy disallowing the display of gadgets, accessories and even rosaries, on windshields and dashboards of vehicles had raised public confusion and received criticism from netizens.

Thus, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) will revisit the implementing rules and regulation of the Anti-Distracted Driving Act.

DOTr assures the public that they will review the new policy in coordination with the concerned stakeholders.

DOTr aims to have a constructive discussion in order to promote road safety, discipline, and responsible driving in the Philippines.
