22 Nov CUMC’s Sesenio S. Rosales (SSR) Kidney Institute Set To Open To Facilitate Kidney Failure Treatments
Through the years the Capitol University Medical Center(CUMC) has been committed to provide holistic quality healthcare service and undertake continuous quality improvement for its patient’s needs. And in order to become Mindanao’s most preferred Global Healthcare Institution, they continue to render Education and Research for healthcare professionals to help the world become a better place.
With that being said, CUMC never fails in maximizing quality care for persons with medical problems by adding another institute in the hospital that could tend to a large number of affected patients not only here in Cagayan de Oro but the rest of Mindanao.
Set to open this Saturday, November 25, 2017, SSR Kidney Institute will facilitate Conventional Hemodialysis, Online Hemodialysis, Peritoneal Dialysis, Kidney Transplant and Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy (PCNL).
Located at Capitol University Medical Center along Gusa Highway, Cagayan de Oro City. You can also contact them thru (088-22)728457/ 856- 4730, fax thru. (088) 852-5536/ (08822) 724326 or email them at www.cumccdo.com.
The SSR Kidney Institute will be the first in Mindanao and would also be the largest dialysis center of CUMC named in honor of the owner’s father, Sesenio S. Rosales (SSR Kidney Institute).
In an article from Manila Bulletin, the whole seventh floor of the mentioned institute houses fifty (50) dialysis machines from Fresenius Medical in Germany.
The institute also holds different room sections to properly assist incoming patients:
ICU
Inpatient
Negative Pressure Inpatient
Negative Pressure Outpatient
Inpatient Infectious Admitted
Infectious Outpatient
Central Processing Room
Laundry Area
2 Cubicles
2 Executive Rooms
It was also revealed that aside from the facilities they have the institute also include amenities such as:
Free wi-fi
Free monthly laboratory (1/month)
Waiting area for patients
Preparation room for patients
Training rooms
Skills Laboratory for trainees
Training Center for Dialysis Nurses
Free Body Composition Monitor Every Quarter
Having an institute close to the city really helps, as we cannot also deny the fact that kidney diseases have been increasing its victims. In fact, Kidney diseases, especially End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), are already the 7th leading cause of death among Filipinos.
One Filipino develops chronic renal failure every hour or about 120 Filipinos per million population per year. That’s a number we should really avoid, so, with the help of CUMC and their benefactors let’s hope that we reduce the victims of kidney related diseases and more.
