Mga higala! Cagayan de Oro’s Hapsay Sapa Program or the Waterways Rehabilitation Project of Bitan-ag Creek has won the 2018 Asian Townscape Awards!
Hapsay Sapa is one of Mayor Oscar Moreno‘s environmental projects that aims to clean the city while empowering Kagay-anons in creekside communities through engagement programs which focuses on proper solid waste management, thus, transforming once polluted areas into decent, livable homes.

In case you don’t know, Asian Townscape Awards are designed to honor cities, regions, projects, etc. that have played a significant role as models in landscape construction.
BTW, the awarding ceremony will be held this September 2018 at Yinchuan City, China.
