11 Dec Peace & Order Council In Northern Mindanao Supports Martial Law Extension

Mga higala! The members of the Regional Peace and Order Council in Northern Mindanao (RPOC-10) have passed a resolution yesterday, December 10, that aims to support the proposed extension of MARTIAL LAW in Mindanao for 2019.

According to Sunstar CDO, RPOC-10 Head & Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Oscar Moreno expressed that he is confident that President Duterte’s martial rule is different from Marcos and that our security forces will respect the Constitutional rights of the people.

Moreno said that for him, this martial law serves more as a defensive tool and as a strong warning to those who can and might engage in terrorism. He also added that CDO’s Barangay Tanod’s can also help the authorities in maintaining peace and order in our communities.
