25 Sep Snatcher Arrested @ Pabayo Street After Trying To Stab & Steal Phone From Victim Near XU
Mga higala! BE CAREFUL AT NIGHT! A snatcher was just arrested this Monday, at around 11:00 pm, after he tried to steal a phone and attempted to stab his victim who was walking along the Corrales Avenue of Cagayan de Oro City, near Xavier University!
According to a post by the victim- Mark Osorno, after finishing a shift at Jollibee, he traversed the said road and was trying to reach the corner of JR Borja Street and Corrales Avenue, in order to wait for a motorela.
As he was trying to cross the intersection, the suspect suddenly put his arm on Osorno’s shoulder and declared a holdup. The suspect then grabbed his smartphone and pulled out a knife when he tried to resist.
Osorno let go of his phone and the suspect got on a motorcycle together with an accomplice who was waiting nearby. Unfortunately, their getaway vehicle wouldn’t start and they tried to run away instead.
Thankfully, nearby motorists and concerned citizens helped Osorno chase the suspect and caught him along Pabayo Street. The police then arrived and arrested the snatcher who was identified as Emar Macalanggan Sultan, a resident of Balongis, Balulang.
