17 Apr DA Program Helps CDO Local Farmers Get By During Community Quarantine

To aid our local farmers in Cagayan de Oro during community quarantine, in cooperation with the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, Bureau of Plant Industry (BPI), and National Dairy Authority, the Department of Agriculture implemented the Kadiwa on Wheels.
Members of the Canitoan Farmers’ Cooperative (Cafamco) were able to sell their fresh produce and earn through the DA program.
In the rolling stores of Kadiwa on wheels, being sold were fresh fruits and vegetables, fish. and chicken.
It has a great impact to the community because not only it helps the farmers, but also the residents to save money, especially that many are temporarily unemployed.
