24 Jun Pope Francis Appoints Bishop Cabantan As The New Archbishop Of Cagayan de Oro

Mga higala! Pope Francis has appointed Bishop Jose Cabantan, who currently serves as the bishop of Malaybalay, Bukidnon, as the next archbishop of Cagayan de Oro City!
He will replace Archbishop Antonio Ledesma, who has now retired at the age of 77.
ICYDK, Cabantan, 63 years old, was born in Lagonglong, Misamis Oriental, and was ordained as a priest at the age of 32 for the Cagayan de Oro archdiocese on April 30, 1990.
He took a “late vocation” after a few years of working as a licensed chemical engineer.
He was then named as the bishop of Malaybalay by Pope Benedict XVI in 2010.
