11 Sep Mayor Moreno Considers Closing Cemeteries In CDO During “Kalag-Kalag” Due To COVID-19
Mga higala! Mayor Oscar Moreno is considering the closure of all private and public cemeteries in Cagayan de Oro this coming November 1 and 2 (All Souls and All Saints Day), due to the health threat of COVID-19!
This is if the COVID-19 situation in the city worsens.
As of now, the city government is studying the effectivity of several measures like color coding, in order to control the flow of cemetery visitors during the said time.
ICYDK, Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno and Cebu City Mayor Edgar Labella have issued orders closing all cemeteries in their area from around October 30 to November 3.
For now, Cagayan de Oro residents are advised to strictly comply with the minimum health standards like the wearing of face masks and face shields and social distancing, outside their homes.
