11 Nov Travel Authority No Longer Required When Traveling To Cagayan de Oro

Mga higala! A “travel authority” is no longer required when returning or visiting Cagayan de Oro City!

This is based on a recent PNP memo which says that the Joint Task Force (JTF) COVID Shield has classified CDO as an “unrestricted” area.

However, all inbound travelers are advised to have a “medical clearance certificate” and to coordinate and get verified by LGU-Cagayan de Oro thru their Online Pre-Arrival Coordination System:

A “travel confirmation” email will then be sent 1-2 days prior to the registered travel date.

(Note: The public should remember that airlines or ship-lines from their point of origin may still require a travel authority due to the delay in ‘official’ coordination.)
