Minors Now Allowed To Go Out If Accompanied By Parents- DILG

Mga higala! Minors in areas under general community quarantine (GCQ) and modified general community quarantine (MGCQ) will now be allowed to go out and go to malls during the holiday season, as long as they are accompanied by their parents.

This was announced by DILG Sec. Eduardo Año last Monday, November 30, 2020.

However, he did not specify the age of the minors that will be covered by this ease in restrictions. (ICYDK, until recently, only those 15 to 65 years can go out under GCQ and MGCQ.)

DILG-10 Assistant Regional Director Yvette Tolentino-Sunga then clarified in a recent presscon that local government units (LGUs) can still choose to implement this or not and that they are still waiting for an IATF Resolution about this.

She also added that those with immunodeficiency, comorbidity, or other health risks, and pregnant women, are still advised to remain in their residences at all times.
