Mga higala! The Department of Health (DOH) has reiterated its ban on parties and other mass gatherings to prevent COVID-19 super spreader events!

This includes beach, pool, and birthday parties, tupada, fiestas, and more, according to the Memorandum Circular No. 2021-058 of the Department of Interior & Local Government (DILG).

DOH is now urging local government units (LGU) to strictly enforce the said ban.

“Tayo rin po ay nakikiusap sa ating mga local government units at sa ating publiko na ipinagbabawal pa rin po ang mga pagtitipon gaya ng mga parties na maaaring maging source ng superspreader events,” said Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire.

BTW, as of June 7, 2021, the Philippines has recorded a total of 1,276,004 cases with 21,969 deaths.
