28 Jun LOOK: Authorities Collect Over 84 Kilos Of Waste During “Scubasurero” Clean-up Drive @ Initao, Misamis Oriental
Mga higala! The Police Regional Office (PRO) of Region 10 conducted a “Scubasurero” underwater and coastal clean-up drive yesterday, June 27, 2021, at Brgy. Tubigan, Initao, Misamis Oriental!
This initiative was participated by members of the PRO-10 Scuba Divers, the Regional Maritime Unit, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), the Philippine Red Cross of Iligan City, the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), the local government of Cagayan de Oro and Initao, and some civilian volunteers.
A total of 84.5 kilograms of plastic wastes and marine debris were collected underwater while 28 sacks of garbage were collected from the shorelines.
