27 Aug OCTA: Surge Of COVID-19 Cases Slows Down In CDO
Mga higala! The independent OCTA Research group disclosed in a recent report that the surge of COVID-19 cases in Cagayan de Oro has slowed over the past week!
According to their data, the city’s reproduction number decreased to 1.15 (from 1.38).
The former seven-day average of 211 new cases has also decreased to 182 (-14%).
(ICYDK: the reproduction number is the number of people that each COVID-19 case can infect.)
“If the trends continue, Cagayan de Oro should start to see a decrease in new COVID-19 cases in one to two weeks,” said OCTA.
However, Kagay-anons should not become compliant because of this improvement since CDO is still an “area of concern”.
