29 Apr 10 Million Pieces Of New P1,000 Polymer Banknotes Now In Circulation

Mga higala! The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) has announced that 10 million pieces of the country’s new P1,000 polymers banknotes are now in circulation!
This is as of April 2022.
A total of 500 million pieces of these polymer banknotes is then expected to be circulated by 2023, along with the existing P1,000 paper bills.
BTW, BSP has stressed that the currently circulating banknotes and coins will not be demonetized during the term of BSP Governor Benjamin Diokno.
