13 Jun Rep. Rolando “Klarex” Uy Joins Duterte Political Party Leaving Liberal Party

On June 9, Thursday, Cagayan de Oro’s 1st District Rep. Rolando Uy signed his membership and oath of allegiance to president-elect Rodrigo “Digong” Duterte’s party, the PDP-Laban, in Cebu City.
This was confirmed by PDP-Laban deputy secretary general Ben Ranque, with Davao del Norte Rep. Pantaleon Alvarez who swore Uy into the PDP-Laban at Crimson Hotel.
Uy wanted to support the incoming Duterte administration, as said by Ranque. “Balik PDP-Laban (na siya).”

During the campaign period, Uy was a member of the Liberal Party, but he decided to support presidential candidate Grace Poe instead, for Manuel Roxas II was allegedly supporting his lone challenger Councilor Lourdes Darimbang.
