The Awesome Team Behind the Successful ACADEO’s Choice Awards and Orofy Launching

An event won’t be successful without the people who did their best to make it an unforgettable one. And with the recently concluded ACADEO’s Choice Awards 2016 and Orofy Launching, which was held last February 11, 2017, Saturday at the Ayala Activity Center, Centrio Mall, it would be great to present to you the awesome team behind it.

Event Hosts

R-Funk Ylaya of BrandAid

 

R-Funk Ylaya has been a celebrated host/emcee for nearly a decade. With a vast experience in all sorts of events, he has the skills to satisfy his crowd just like what he did during the ACADEO event.

Nicole Abas-Datayan of Pamahaw Espesyal

A KBP Golden Dove Award nominee for Best TV Host, Nicole is an ABS-CBN Star Magic talent and currently one of the hosts of ABS-CBN Northern Mindanao morning show “Pamahaw Espesyal.” A trusted endorser of various well-known brands, Nicole is also an inspirational speaker, a performance artist, events host and a proud mother and wife.

Presenters

Nicole Tiro

A 19-year old style blogger, Ms Nicole Tiro, who is a Business Administration student, was invited as one of the first presenters during the ACADEO event. She, along with Sir Benjie, introduced the awardees for the Best Filipino Restaurant, Tastiest Pizza of the Year, Fitness Center of the Year, Hotel of the Year, Blogger of the Year, and Most Unique Business Concept of the Year.

Benjie S. Manuel

One of the most sought designers in Cagayan de Oro, Benjie S. Manuel attended the ACADEO event as a presenter. Did you know that he was the first and the longest running president of the Oro Fashion Designers Guild (OFDG)?

Jireh Cuarto

Jireh Cuarto, one of the fast rising CDO vloggers and owns the Youtube channel “Jireh Vlogs”, joined by Ms Kizzy, were given the task to present the awards for The Best Place With A View, Crispiest Lechon, Restaurant of the Year, Tatak CDO Product of the Year and the Salon and Spa of the Year.

Kizzy Rivera

Kizzy Rivera, also a vlogger who directs her own Youtube channel “Kizzy Rivera”, was invited to be one of the presenters for the ACADEO awards.

Kitchie Uy

Kitchie Uy, one of the official nominees for Makeup Artist of the Year of the ACADEO’s Choice Awards, presented the awardees for the Yummiest Burger of the Year, Best Foreign Restaurant of the Year, Sports Personality of the Year, Funkiest Dj of the Year and Resort of the Year.

Len-len Anaya

Also one of the Makeup Artist of the Year nominees, Len-len Anaya, who is making a name in the Makeup industry, joined Ms Kitchie in introducing the third batch of awardees.

Jamie Bantigue

Known by fans and friends as Jam, Jamie Joy Amper Bantigue brightens every Kagay-anons’ mornings, along with Ms Nicole, through ABS-CBN Northern Mindanao morning show “Pamahaw Espesyal” with her adorable voice and gorgeous smile. During the ACADEO event, she introduced the 4th batch of awardees where she was joined by Ms Angel.

Angel Carbajal

Former Miss Kagay-an titleholder in 2011, Ms Angel Carbajal, along with Ms Jamie, introduced the awardees for the Makeup Artist of the Year, Friendliest Staff of the Year, Fashion Designer of the Year, Most Instagrammable Place of the Year, and the Photographer of the Year.

Performers

David Lañas

A local recording artist, David Lañas hyped up the opening of the ACADEO event as he performed his own version of Bruno Mars’ 24K Magic, with the House of Rexodus as his backup dancers.

Vital Signs

A promising local band in Cagayan de Oro composed of Winset Rose Jacot (vocalist), Christian Carl Go (guitar), Clyde Asequia (bass), and Ej Gallego (percussions), they performed the pop song “Starving by Hailee Steinfeld, Grey featuring Zedd, together with DJ Jag.

DJ Jag

With his sick remixes and soothing music which blended well during the ACADEO event, DJ Jag showcased his taste of music of which the audience greatly enjoyed.

Jel Asequia

Considered to be the most powerful performance of the night, Jel Asequia, who was the leader of the now defunct band “Upstart”, sang Lady Gaga’s Million Reasons through a duet with Ms Eula.

Leticia Lamour Velez Sy a.k.a. Eula Valdez

Frequently sings in LIV and Lifestyle District, Eula Valdez had a duet with Ms Jel to give their own rendition of the song Million Reasons.

Muriel Lomadilla

An influencer, endorser and singer, who made it to the grand finals of Pilipinas Got Talent Season 3 in the year 2011, Muriel Lomadilla prompted everyone to stand and dance as she sang Justin Timberlake’s Can’t Stop The Feeling.

Dreamboard Artists’ House of Rexodus

A non-profit organization of talented performers, artists and singers in Cagayan de Oro, Dreamboard Artists manages House of Rexodus composed of 5 males and 5 females. They are the ones who made the stage more alive with their killer moves and powerful choreography.
