We spotted one Angkas driver while he was managing a booking yesterday in Carmen, and we took the chance to do a mini interview so we can provide you all you need to know about Angkas, the new same day delivery and transport service in Cagayan de Oro City.

Angkas is the new same-day -delivery and transport service in the city, and it provides full convenience with its booking features thru their Angkas app, which is now available on both IOS and Android.

And as future passengers and customers of their services, the first thing we made sure to ask revolves around safety.

Angkas Safety Gears and Rules

Gears

When it comes to gears, all registered Angkas Drivers are required to wear the basic safety gears mandated by our Transport organizations and governing bodies. All drivers MUST dress accordingly to the rules as well, and wear the official Angkas Helmet.

Passengers are also provided with a helmet for obvious safety purposes.

All drivers are also provided with a phone mount and are instructed to stop when checking bookings direction. NEVER on transit.

Safety

There is a strict ONE passenger per Ride policy implemented by Angkas. This is to ensure safety of carriage and avoid compromising the drivers ability to control the motorcycle due to weight issues.

Angkas drivers also went through some training and orientations before they are fully allowed to run the streets. The training include basic road safety, courtesy, managing the app, and abiding road rules and regulations.

Tech Safety

In terms of the technical side of the service. Every driver’s vehicle are checked to a certain standard before they are allowed to operate. Every vehicle registration details and engine ID’s are recorded and documented for safety reasons.

Every driver’s phone are also taken into account, from their IP addresses to their IMEI’s. This insures us passengers and the company that every official driver can be traced whenever and wherever. And this will also prevent others from pretending to be Angkas drivers without their devices being on records with Angkas.

Rates (For Transport):

The driver we interviewed said they are now on a promotional rate, but here are their published rates (based on the app).

Note: Fees are paid directly to the biker and not Angkas.

For their same day delivery rates, it basically depends on the package. But keep posted, cause we’ll surely feature their rates as well.

Angkas – For complaints and Customer Experience

The driver we interviewed was able to mention that as of yesterday (July 31, 2018), there are already 189 registered Angkas drivers within the city.

For the drivers side, or for those who would want to be Angkas drivers, just keep posted and make sure you have a Professional License (not Non-prof) as well. We’ll be sharing more information about it as well, but for now we’ll just start with this.
