05 May Misamis Oriental’s Alleged “Drug Queen” seized by MisOr police
4 sachets of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride or commonly known as shabu with an estimated street value of P800,000 were confiscated at Opol, Misamis Oriental on Thursday night, May 4, 2017.
According to a report from Bombo Radyo, an alleged drug queen identified by Opol Police Station commander C/Insp Randy Anito as Cindy Sarip Sangcopan, 54 years old and is a resident of Zone 5, Barangay Barra, Opol was apprehended.
Sangcopan was arrested during the conducted joint operation by the elements of PDEA-10 and police officers of Opol Police Station.
Armed with a warrant of arrest issued by Regional Trial Court (RTC) Judge Dennis Alcantar, the authorities seized Sangcopan as she was found at her hiding place in Opol.
A Nissan Navarra vehicle unit was also confiscated.
Last May 5, 2017, a nonbailable case was filed against Sangcopan for violating RA 9165 or “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002”.
