02 Jul Amai Pakpak Medical Center in Marawi City Gets License To Conduct COVID-19 Tests
Mga higala! The Department of Health (DOH) issued a license to operate (LTO) for the Amai Pakpak Medical Center (APMC) in Marawi City, allowing the operation of laboratory tests for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
Through the use of Xpert Xpress SARS-CoV-2 test, four swab tests can be generated for every 45 minutes. That is 32 lab results within 8 hours.
Now that APMC got its license, swab samples collected from admitted COVID-19 patients no longer need to be sent to Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) in Cagayan de Oro City.
APMC is now just waiting for the completion of its biomolecular laboratory that is expected to be equipped with a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) machine.
