02 Aug Another Mindanaoan Assures PH Of 3rd Olympic Medal
Mga higala! Eumir Marcial of Zamboanga City has secured the 3rd Olympic medal of the Philippines in the current Tokyo Olympics, after knocking out Armenian opponent Arman Darchinyan in the quarterfinal match (men’s middleweight)!
The 25-year-old boxer is now assured of at least a bronze medal and will fight in the semifinals for the chance to get the gold.
ICYDK, Marcial is the 3rd Mindanaoan who got an Olympic medal for the country (after Hidilyn Diaz and Nesthy Petecio). Moreover, like Diaz, he also serves in the Philippine Air Force (PAF).
