Anti-Plastic Order To Be Fully Implemented in CDO This January 1, 2019

Mga higala! The City-Wide Plastic Regulation or City Ordinance 13378-2018 has finally been approved by the City Council and will be fully implemented starting January 1, 2019!

This was revealed by the Cagayan de Oro City Facebook Page yesterday, August 8, 2018.

According to their post, this anti-plastic regulation will mean that major establishments, sari-sari stores, and market stalls in CDO will finally be prohibited in using plastic bags and packagings, except on meat products, fish, and processed foods. A “one plastic roll bag policy” will also be implemented, and a fine of no less than P3,000 per “sando bag” used, will be charged to violating stores.
