24 Jul Anti-SONA Rally Participants Abandoned By Organizers Without Food & Bus Fare @ Malaybalay City
Mga higala! Around 70 participants of the ANTI-SONA RALLY at the Provincial Capitol grounds of Malaybalay City, Bukidnon, were abandoned by their organizers last Monday, July 22, without any food, water, or even bus fares.
According to a post by Sprint News and Views, the only meal the participants had were the bread and soft drinks shared to them by soldiers who were stationed at the capitol grounds.
The rallyists were recruited from nearby villages by two (2) organizers who promised them food and bus fare. “Libre man gud daw ang plete ug kaon” said Ana, a Manobo teenager from Quezon, Bukidnon.
They arrived at 9:00 am and were left by the said organizers who were riding white multi-cab with plate number JBB 8496 and L300 Van KVY877, when the rain started to pour at around 3:00 pm.
30-40 of these participants were teenagers.
