Mga higala! Beware of fake news! The recent memo (Dept. Memorandum No. 2020-0345) of the Department of Health (DOH) is about the suggested retail price (SRP) of FACE SHIELDS, it did not include a photo of a preferred or permitted design!
Any type of face shield for community use (non-medical grade) is allowed.
Watch out for circulating photos on social media that says face shields with “eyeglass frames” are prohibited for public use.
As you can see below, these eyeglass-frame face shields were used by Health Secretary Francisco Duque III and others:
Moreover, the descriptions included in the said memo are DOH’s “recommended specifications”.
