26 Apr ASG Member arrested in Bohol was involved in 2012, 2013 CDeO Bombings
After the outbreak of a policewoman Supt. Maria Cristina Nobleza affirming to have an intimate relationship with the Abu Sayyaf bomb expert Renierlo Dongon last April 24, 2017; and on the discovery of various armaments and bomb-making materials in her residence at Pine Hills Executive Homes, Purok 5, Brgy. Casisang, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon on April 25, 2016; today it was confirmed by Superintendent Lemuel Gonda, spokesperson of the Police Regional Office (PRO) Northern Mindanao, that Dongon is one of the suspects in the bombings that took place at Cagayan de Oro City.
To reiterate the bombings tangled with the suspect are the October 2012 bombing outside the Maxandrea Hotel and the July 2013 bombing at Kyla’s Bistro along Rosario Arcade, Limketkai Mall.
Dongon was said to have pending sanctions for the deadly blasts in Cagayan de Oro City. The Maxandrea Hotel bombing caused 2 deaths and 2 wounded which equivalents for double murder and double attempted murder while the Kyla’s Bistro bombing caused 6 deaths and 48 wounded equivalent to multiple murder and multiple frustrated murder.
Gonda added that during the case of Kyla’s Bistro bombing he was the operations officer and he had a warrant for Dongon along with Usman Hapids.
Supt. Maria Cristina Nobleza and ASG member Renierlo Dongon are currently in the custody of PNP Custodial Center in Camp Crame. The police are now waiting for further instructions from their headquarters at Camp Crame as will Dongon be facing these charges against him and if the Department of Justice (DOJ) will make arrangements on how to go about Dongon’s cases in the city.
