27 Apr Authorities To Apprehend Motorists Wearing “Nutshell Helmets” In Cagayan de Oro

Mga higala! In case you don’t know, police and RTA personnel will apprehend motorists who will be caught wearing nutshell helmets in Cagayan de Oro City!

This is in accordance with the Motorcycle Helmet Act of 2009, which mandates the use of “standard protective motorcycle helmets” like full-face and J-type crash helmets, for all motorcycle riders (including passengers).

Nutshell helmets are unsafe and are only allowed for bicycle and skateboard riders.
