27 May Authorities Investigate Illegal Selling Of COVID-19 Vaccines In PH
Mga higala! The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), and the Department of Health (DOH) are now conducting various investigations regarding the issue of alleged illegal selling of government-procured COVID-19 vaccines and vaccination slots in the country.
The said vaccines are supposedly being offered in various areas by unscrupulous individuals for P10,000 to P15,000, depending on the brand.
ICYDK, according to PNP Chief Police Gen. Guillermo Eleazar, it is illegal to sell COVID-19 vaccines that were just granted with an emergency use authorization (EUA) by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
This activity is also illegal in the country based on the advisory of the FDA and the National Task Force against COVID-19.
(Note: Vaccines are free for the public, under the government’s coronavirus vaccination program.)
