11 Jun LOOK: “Backride Couple Pass” For Motorcycle Riders Denied By IATF
Mga higala! ICYDK, the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) has recently denied the request of some government officials to issue a “BACKRIDE COUPLE PASS” in their municipalities, which will allow married or live-in couples to ride together in their motorcycles!
According to the Manila Bulletin, this was repeatedly rejected by the IATF despite persistent public demand because this violates social distancing measures against COVID-19.
It was also stressed that the said couple pass can easily be exploited by unqualified riders. Some may attempt to outwit law enforcers and pretend to be couples or relatives.
