09 Oct WATCH: Bernie Bitokbitok Retires, Says Goodbye To ABS-CBN
Mga higala! After almost 20 years as one of our favorite DJs and local TV personality for MOR and ABS-CBN, Malvern Esparcia aka Bernie Bitokbitok has filed for early retirement!
This is effective on September 30, 2020.
According to his recent video, after the denial of ABS-CBN’s franchise application, Bernie was left without his fellow DJs and beloved friends and was assigned to handle all MOR stations in Mindanao. Bernie had conflicted feelings about keeping his job and for losing his longtime colleagues. He expressed that it was like returning from war without his allies:
“Murag gikan ko’g gira nga niuli nga ako ra isa nabilin, wala nako’y mga kauban.”
Bernie then said that after a few days or weeks, he decided to just retire.
