25 Jun BEWARE: Kagay-anon Receives Fake P1K Bills After Helping Stranger With Change
Mga higala! BEWARE OF FAKE MONEY! A netizen named Glenn Maagad was recently victimized with fake 1,000-peso bills after she helped a stranger who asked if she had money for change.
This incident happened while Maagad was drinking a frappe at the Coffee Project located near the Limketkai Center of Cagayan de Oro City.
According to her post, the suspect was a formal-looking male with average height and medium build, who was about 30-40 years old.
The suspect was said to be carrying a bunch of 500-peso bills and approached to ask if he can exchange it to the victim’s 1,000-peso bills. Seconds after he received the money, he then changed his mind, returned the bills and left.
By the time Maagad realized the money was fake, the suspect was long gone.
