Mga higala! Beware of random smishing attacks that are using LBC Express’ 3rd-party service provider!
In a recent post, netizen Faith Ann Ranises shared that she received a message via LBC’s text prompt informing that her GCash account has been used to pay for a delivery.
The said message then told her to log-in via the included link to “file a dispute”. Thankfully, she didn’t immediately click the link.
After several hours, Ranises then received a warning from LBC about the said matter.
ICYDK, Smishing or SMS phishing is a phishing cybersecurity attack carried out over mobile text messaging.
The links or instructions from these texts aim to steal your personal data and other sensitive information.
