17 Aug BFP Recovers Remains Of Whole Family Inside Burned House @ Brgy. 22
Mga higala! The charred remains of a family were recovered by the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) last Saturday, August 15, 2020, under the rubble of their house in Zone 3, Brgy. 22, Cagayan de Oro City, that burned on August 12!
The remains were identified as the Ayangod family of 4, namely:
- Ador Ayangod, 53 years old
- Juliet Ayangod, 56 years old
- Joseph Ayangod, 22 years old
- Ester Ayangod, 20 years old
According to FO3 Jesreel Lasaga of the Cagayan de Oro City Fire District, the bodies of the victims were only found after some neighbors complained of the foul smell in the area, which prompted the BFP and barangay officials to investigate.
Moreover, the neighbors didn’t hear the said family ask for help during the time of the fire and no one asked about their whereabouts even after several days.
An investigation is now ongoing.
