18 Jun BIR Wants To Tax Lazada, Netflix, & Others, Not Small-Time Online Sellers
Mga higala! The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has clarified in a recent virtual presser that they are targeting to tax big online merchants like Lazada and online streaming platforms such as Netflix, and not small-time online sellers!
This was brought up due to the flood of complaints from various online vendors regarding the recent reminder of BIR that orders them to register and declare their business transactions.
The said agency also emphasized that those who earn P250,000 and below annually are exempted from the provisions of the Philippines’ Tax Code.
