LOOK: BOC-CDO Buries P200 Million Worth Of Smuggled Onions

Mga higala! The Bureau of Customs-Port of Cagayan de Oro (BOC-CDO) has buried all the smuggled onions that they confiscated in the last couple of months!

These onions have an estimated worth of P200 million!

The said onions were buried last November 26, 2021, in a 12-feet pit inside a facility in Brgy. Mantibugao, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon. Below are BOC’s photos:

In case you’re curious, the Department of Agriculture (DA) reiterated that the smuggled onions cannot be donated or auctioned since its shipments lack Sanitary and Phytosanitary Import Clearances, making it a health risk and unsafe for consumption.
