10 Nov LOOK: BOC-CDO Seizes New Batch Of Smuggled Red Onions, Worth: P50 Million
Mga higala! The Bureau of Customs-Port of Cagayan de Oro (BOC-CDO) discovered and confiscated another batch of smuggled red onions during a spot-check inspection last November 8 and 9, 2021, in the Mindanao Container Terminal Sub-Port (Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental)!
The red onions have an estimated worth of P50 million!
These were found inside 18 containers consigned to R2H Trading and were misdeclared as acidified cream, smoked crawfish (rock lobster), curdled cream milk, bread improver (non-dairy creamer), flavored nuts, crustaceans, and breaded shrimp.
BTW, the said onions may need to be destroyed soon since its shipment does not have a Sanitary Phytosanitary Import Clearance, making it a health hazard.
This means that the onions cannot be donated or used in any way higala!
