02 Dec BOC Releases Information on Number of Toys and Cosmetics Allowed to be Brought into Phil
Since Christmas is here, many overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) would really go home and spend the holidays with their family and loved ones. Usually, Filipinos tend to practice on bringing gifts for their kids, parents, and loved ones when Christmas.
However, according to a report from Inquirer, there are some guidelines shared by the Bureau of Customs (BOC) on Thursday, December 1, regarding the quantity of good you can bring into the Philippines when you do not have any clearance from the Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) and the Department of Health (DOH).
Here is the list of items and quantity allowed to be brought in the Philippines.
- Perfumes – 5 pieces
- Lipstick – 10 pieces
- Shampoo – 2 Kilograms
- Lotion – 2 Kilograms
- Bar Soap – 2 Kilograms
- Assorted Cosmetics – 1 Kilogram
- Toys – 10 pieces
- Childcare Articles – 5 Kilograms
- Household Hazardous Substance (Detergent, Fabric Conditioners/Softeners, Dishwashing Liquids, Etc. ) – 5 Kilograms
It was also noted that items with quantity beyond the specified limits will be confiscated in favor of the government.
