23 Mar BOC seize P15-million worth of smuggled cigarettes in Tagoloan

According to ABS-CBN News, the Bureau of Customs (BOC) said that they will file charges against those behind the illegal shipment of P15-million worth of smuggled cigarettes at the Mindanao Container Terminal (MCT) in Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental.
BOC said that the 40-foot container van at MCT allegedly contained disposable diapers. However, when they opened the van, they found an estimate of 800 boxes of cigarettes inside the boxes of diapers.
It is said that the shipment actually came from Singapore and had arrived at MCT last December 13, 2016. The consignee was identified as Black Petal Commercial at Purok 10, Baloy Highway, Barangay Tablon, Cagayan de Oro City. However, no representative showed up to claim the shipment, said MCT Collector, Samson Pacasum.
