20 Sep Boy Zugba – Kusina Bisaya Opens New Branch at Ayala Centrio Mall
Bigby’s Quality Food Corporation, the same umbrella company that gave you Bigby’s Café and Restaurant, Missy Bon Bon, Frozen Factory, and the Nest, recently opened a new branch of its Filipino-themed grill house, Boy Zugba – Kusina Bisaya at the Ayala Centrio Mall last September 18, 2016 at the 3rd floor.
A media and bloggers sneak peak night happened last Friday, September 16 before the official opening of their Centrio Branch.
Boy Zugba has already gained fame and a reputation with its first restaurant along Corrales Avenue by serving up a mix of traditional and modern menu of home-cooked meals, street food, and grilled foods.
Some of the food items on the menu are actually the normal fare you would find in local Carenderias that have now been cooked up on a higher level and dubbed with amusing Visayan names like Pisbol sa Corrales, Pancit sa Pulis, Sinuglaw de Cagayan, Buko Pancit, Chika Chicharon, Binaki, Bistek Bisdak, Na-uyapan na Baboy, and many more. A new comer to this menu list is the Cheezy Chorizo that will first be introduced only at the Centrio Mall branch.
Like its main branch, the Centrio Mall Boy Zugba will have the Filipino-native feel of a simple restaurant but with a modern twist, showing its personality with the same top quality customer service and tastefully decorated with the usual mix of funny and amusing jokes and paintings on the walls and on table mugs.
During the media and bloggers sneak peak night everyone got to taste some of the food that will eventually be served especially on the Boodle Packages that this branch plans to highlight for families and large groups that are forecast to be the main customer line.
Mr. Henrik Yu, one of the proprietors of Bigby’s Quality Food Corporation, gave an opening talk to welcome everyone and to talk about the grand opening and why Boy Zugba is now at the Centrio Mall.
A Trivia Night then followed with guests divided into teams of 5 participants each. Winners of this trivia contest were awarded with Boy Zugba Certificates. Winners of the Boy Zugba Photo Contest were awarded special gifts on this same night.
Some of the special guests during the sneak peak night were two of the winners from the recent Barangay Gwapo pageant. Muriel Lomadilla and top bloggers from Iligan City were also present. The whole event was hosted by Mr. James Tubeo.
Media and bloggers at the event were representatives from CDO Bloggers, Team About Cagayan de Oro (Bryan King, Yani Briones, KC Curay), Vic Marion Madriaga, Andrew Pablico, Anthony Lim and Neo Lamperouge from CDO City Events, and Kim Zaldivar, Tom Udasco, and Jaysan Chee from CDODEV.
Boy Zugba formally opened its doors to accept customers last September 18, 2016.
