02 Dec 2 Drunk Brgy Tanod Harassed Fellow Officials in Bugo, CDO
Two barangay police officer known as “Tanod” were apprehended for harassing fellow barangay officials on November 30, Wednesday night.
According to a report from ABS-CBN News, these two barangay police officers were identified as Welbert Babia and Tommy Elnas who were operatives of the Puerto Police Station.
It was said that they were drunk and that they intruded the Bugo Barangay Hall. They were allegedly trying to pick a fight with their fellow barangay officials which caused them to get arrested.
A concerned citizen then reported the incident to the police which prompted the police to respond immediately. When the police arrived and were about to arrest the suspects, Babia threatened to shoot the citizen who reported them to the police.
If the complainants decide to file a case against them, the suspects could be charged with malicious mischief.
