23 Feb Bukidnon State University- External Study Centers, To be Closed by CHED

Cagayan de Oro City. The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) recently announced their intent to close all External Study Centers of Bukidnon State University in CDO and even in Bukidnon itself. This urged Misamis Oriental 2nd District Representative Juliette Uy to request an investigation regarding this decision.
According to Uy, she wants to discover the underlying reason why CHED would decide something as big as this. She then emphasized that BSU- External Study Centers are helping many poor students attain a college degree.
Since CHED is a government agency which aims to provide education for all Filipinos, it seems questionable that they would want to stop an institution that has helped and will help Mindanaons achieve their goals.
As some of may know, even the Misamis Oriental Vice Governor Joey Pelaez fought against CHED’s decision to discontinue BSU- External Study Center’s operation.
