27 Jun Burned body found at Lower Balulang in CdeO
In an article updated from Sunstar.com, a burned body was found by authorities last Saturday, June 24, at the bottom of a cliff in Panginoman, Lower Balulang, Cagayan de Oro City.
According to the police investigators, the body was not yet identified but authorities suspected the victim to be around 20-27 years old. Additionally, both of its hands were still tied together when the killing was done.
Investigators of the crime said that a resident told them she heard somebody was crying which was followed by two loud sound of suspected gunshots and around 10 PM, she glimpsed a fire emerged at the same spot where the body was discovered.
Deputy Chief of Police Station 4 in Carmen, Senior Inspector Mario Mantala, said that the possible motives of the crime can be associated with illegal drugs, theft, and personal hostility.
Also, the body was examined by the scene of the crime operatives and discovered that the victim died after two gunshots were released toward the head from an unidentified firearm unit.
Police investigators did not find any identification marks on the victim’s body aside from blue shirt and green underwear.
The body was brought to Bollozos Funeral Homes and is yet to be claimed by relatives.
