18 Jul Cagayan de Oro City, 7th Most Competitive City in the Philippines for 2016
On Thursday, July 14, during the 4th Regional Competitiveness Summit held at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), Cagayan de Oro City has been ranked as the 7th most competitive city in the Philippines for 2016.
The assessment has been made by the National Competitiveness Council, through the Regional Competitiveness Committees. This annual ranking had its debut in 2013.
Here is the list of the top 10 competitive cities in the Philippines for 2016:
1. Quezon City
2. Makati City
3. Manila City
4. Pasig City
5. Davao City
6. Cebu City
7. Cagayan de Oro City
8. General Santos City
9. Caloocan City
10. Muntinlupa City
The rankings of the cities that are included in the list are classified based on their sum of scores from three (3) categories; Economic Dynamism, Government Efficiency, and Infrastructure.
Previously, Cagayan de Oro city ranked 2nd in 2014, 6th in 2015, and this year 7th.
